UTILITY ROOM / DESIGN NOTES

The room layout is quite bad from a furniture design perspective as the sink wall isn't long enough to accommodate washer dryer and sink all in one run...

One solution would be to use the garage wall for the washer & dryer - if your worried about being able to see them from the kitchen - we could stack them on the side as illustrated here <

Another consideration is that to give this room any storage we must use the wall on your right  as you walk in from the kitchen.

This could feel quite heavy!

The best thing to do in this scenario (if its not too late) is to make an architectural alteration to the window wall - see proposed <.

The flow is much better now - a comfortable place to take off and store shoes - appliances not visible from kitchen.

Surprisingly ample worktop space at 2360mm, a floating shelf with integrated strip lighting will look more interesting than wall units here in my opinion. We could also mirror the kitchen island side panel detail which looks great with the splashback gap - as shown here <.
